What is Kinesio Tape?
Although Kinesiotaping is a treatment method developed in Japan in 1980, it is a local treatment method which is recently recognized in our country such as Europe and America. Kinesiotaping is a treatment option that can be preferred after orthopedic and neurological problems and surgical interventions as well as neck-back and lumbar pain. Application field of treatment bands widen every day.

There is no harm in using the bands every day. Whenever you feel the presence of the bands during treatment, you will notice that band supports your movements and this will help you get better easily.
Kinesiotaping applications basically have two purposes: Acquiring a painless and easier movement and supporting the recovery of the soft tissue.
Band material of Kinesiotaping applications is also known as KINESIO TAPING. This band is made of a very thin and sensitively weaved cotton material. Thanks to these features, KINESIO TAPING can stay on the skin even in cases of getting wet and sweating; it is possible to take a shower or wash your hands after the applications.
Depending on the skin type and environmental conditions, bands can stay in the area 4-7 days. KINESIO TAPING theoretically ascends the skin and increases the space between the skin and muscles and reduce the pressure in the area. Reduced pressure results in increased blood flow and therefore a lymphatic drainage occurs. This effect in blood circulation prevents induction of pain receptors which are present under the skin while removing the tension and sensitiveness in the injured area; thus, a painless movement is made possible. Also KINESIO TAPING is effective on arthrosis. Bands are inserted thick or thinly depending on the force on the muscles in the area. While it is better to use a long line for the areas which are effected by the whole weight of the body such as ankles, a short band is adequate for lumbar diseases.
Our bodies are designed to move and the basic purpose of Kinesiotaping technique is to support movements and make it easier to move. Successful application of the technique comes from knowing the anatomy of the muscles, joints and circulation system and applying the right techniques.
